Dale Gould (Mooseman)
Dale is a life long resident of Grand Rapids, and is a 1954 graduate of South High School. Dale served in the Marine Corp from 1955 – 1959 during the Korean conflict. He joined his parents in the insurance business in 1959. In 1979 Dale and his wife Margie started the Dale Gould Insurance Agency, Inc. and moved into the office space at 2100 Plainfield Ave. Dale is now pretty much retired from the insurance business but will stop in the office from time to time.
Dale has been an active member of many service organizations including the Grand Rapids Jaycees, the Grand Rapids Round Table, the Breakfast Club of Grand Rapids, the Dwight Lydell chapter of the Izaak Walton League and the Carl Johnson Post of the American Legion.
Dave grew up in Wyoming, Mi. He is a 1980 graduate of Kelloggsville High School, and attended GRCC. For 17 years Dave enjoyed working for Witmark Catalog Showroom as their Distribution Manager. Dave also worked for S.A. Morman as an estimator and then for Wolverine World Wide as a Warehouse Supervisor. In 2000 he joined the Agency and became a licensed Agent. Dave is a University of Michigan fan, especially U of M Football. Dave enjoys attending high school football games, playing Euchre and spending time with friends and family.
Barbara grew up in the north end of Grand Rapids and is a 1979 graduate of Creston High School, and attended GRCC. In high school Barbara worked at the Snack Bar at Plainfield Skating Center where she and Dave met. She has worked at the Agency since 1984 and has been a licensed agent since 1985. Barb enjoys reading, listening to live music, crafting, camping at Michigan State Parks, road trips and spending time with her family and dogs.
Barb and Dave have three daughters; Chelsea, Courtney and McKenna, all graduates of Rockford High School. They also volunteered for Paws With A Cause, raising a puppy named Hasbro for them. Hasbro eventually was career changed out of the Paws program and now lives with Dave and Barb as a family pet. Along with Hasbro, they have two other dogs; Bentley, who is a Goldendoodle, and Sookie; a little Jack Russell mix they rescued from the Humane Society. It's not unusual to find a dog or two at the office with them.
Michaela is a 2009 graduate of Rockford High School and has been lifelong resident of the north Grand Rapids area, in fact both of her parents graduated from Creston High School back in 1979. Michaela attended Grand Rapids Community College and the University of Indianapolis. Her career in the insurance industry began when she started working at the Gould Agency in September of 2011, soon becoming a licensed agent. In her spare time Michaela enjoys reading, drinking coffee, trying new foods and walking Bobby, her 9 year old poodle.
